US Federal Government is offering Fulbright Scholarships for Norwegian students for the academic year 2017-2018. These scholarships are awarded to students who wish to undertake full or part, a master or doctoral degree in the United States.
Established in 1946, the Fulbright Program aims to increase mutual understanding between the peoples of the United States and other countries, through the exchange of persons, knowledge and skills.

( votes)The U.S.- Norway Fulbright Foundation for Educational Exchange is a bi-national foundation with a Board of Directors composed of four American and four Norwegian members. Both governments support the program with annual allocations of funds. Each year, approx. 40 Norwegians receive grants to study, teach, or conduct research in the US, and some 30 Americans receive grants to do the same in Norway.

Eligibility: Fulbright scholarship awarded to students who will carry a whole, or part of, a master or doctoral degree in the United States. All fields. It is assumed that the degree is not already begun at a university in the United States, and that the place of study in the United States are accredited.
Nationality: Students of Norway can apply for this scholarship.

How to Apply: A complete application consists of:
- Correctly completed Fulbright application online.
- Three letters of recommendation. Recommendation letters are delivered online, more information can be found under “Step 4” in Online Instructions. The applicant is responsible for ensuring that all reference letters submitted to the deadline of 1 October 2015.
- Certified copies of transcripts (in English). Ordinary copies uploaded in the application form, but one copy of the certified copies (in English) must still be sent to the Fulbright office.
- Correctly completed Cover Sheet.
Application Deadline: The application deadline is 1st October 2016.
