The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) is pleased to offer the Gender Equality Grant, designed to provide young women researchers with individualized and flexible support for their career development. This grant, offering CHF 1,000 per 12 months of project duration, is available to those engaged in SNSF-funded projects or career funding schemes.
Applicants must be women researchers at the doctoral or postdoctoral level, employed in SNSF-funded projects or beneficiaries of SNSF career funding schemes, with the exception of Eccellenza and SNSF Starting Grants. A minimum work-time percentage of 60% is required, except for doctoral students, who are eligible regardless of their work-time percentage.

How to Apply
The gender equality grant does not require a separate application. It is covered by a deficit guarantee and is automatically available to eligible researchers within SNSF-funded projects. If project funds are insufficient, a compensatory payment may be requested in the final financial report, referencing the corresponding receipts.
Benefits
The grant offers CHF 1,000 per 12 months of project duration to support career development measures such as mentoring, coaching, courses, workshops, or conference attendance. The grant is not applicable to family support measures.
