Solomon Mahlangu Scholarship
National Youth Development Agency invites applications for Solomon Mahlangu Scholarship available for South African students. Scholarships are awarded for high school learners who plan to attend one of the participating universities as a 1st year full-time student after completing the National Senior Certificate. The Scholarship will cover 100% of the cost for books, university residence meals, tuition, university accommodation and private accommodation. The application deadline is 15 January 2017.

Scholarships for Geological Sciences Majors
University of Missouri is inviting applications for geology scholarships for freshman and transfer students. To be eligible for a scholarship and subsequent renewal, scholarship recipients must maintain their status as official majors in the MU Department of Geological Sciences. Sophomore and junior applicants must achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above at the time of their application. Applications will be considered till 1st March.

Lindemann Trust Fellowships in USA, 2017
The English-Speaking Union offers up to three Lindemann Trust Fellowships for postdoctoral scientists to carry out research in the USA. Fellowships are awarded to graduates of exceptional promise in both the pure and applied physical sciences who have shown capacity for producing original research. Fellowships are open for British or Commonwealth citizens who are resident in the UK. Each fellowship amounts to $30,000 per annum, paid quarterly by the ESU in equal installments of $7500 each. Each Fellowship lasts for one year. The application deadline is 15 February each year.

University of Tasmania Undergraduate Geology Scholarships
The University, Discipline and Centre offer various scholarships and prizes for undergraduate students. The Scholarship values range from $3,000 to $10,000 p.a. for a duration of 1-4 years. Applicants must be maintaining a high level of academic achievement during their study. Applications will open in August and will close on 31st October each year.

Eric Niemitalo Scholarship in Earth and Environmental Science
Shoreline Community College is offering geology scholarship for transfer students. Scholarship is available for four-year College to pursue a degree in Environmental Science with an emphasis in Geology.

Edward J. and Sue Wilby McCarty Endowed Geology Honors Scholarship
The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship for a student majoring in Geology.  Student must be enrolled in the Honors College, or be eligible for enrollment in terms of grades and test scores, and must major in Geology. The selection of the scholarship will be made by the faculty of the Department of Geology, in a manner determined by the faculty.

Richard Foster Flint Postdoctoral Fellowship
Fellowship is available for undertaking research within the Department of Geology and Geophysics at Yale University. Applications from women and minority scientists are strongly encouraged. The Postdoctoral Associate position is awarded for two years, providing a stipend ($50,000/yr) and base research funds ($5,000/yr), plus health care benefits and limited expenses for relocation.

DOST-SEI Science and Technology Undergraduate Scholarships
The Undergraduate Scholarship Programs of the Department of Science and Technology implemented by the Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) are open yearly to talented and deserving students who wish to pursue 4- or 5- year courses in priority science and technology fields. High school graduates who have not undertaken any college units may also apply.
