A postdoctoral position is available for a highly motivated scientist with excellent scientific background to join an ongoing research program focused on the role of a newly identified cardiotrophic cytokine during cardiovascular injury and regeneration. The position is available immediately for three years in the laboratory of Molecular and Translational Cardiology headed by Prof. Wollert. The lab is located in the Dept. of Cardiology at the Medizinische Hochschule Hannover, and provides state of the art facilities and equipment to carry out small animal physiology & imaging (including MRI), cellular and molecular biology, and biochemistry. Requirements: The candidate will have a PhD and training in at least two disciplines relevant to the project (KO mouse models, cell biology, molecular biology, small animal physiology), preferably in cardiovascular research.
