NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) in partnership with individual campus offers golf scholarship. There are different industry groups like PGA and LGPA offering scholarship.

NCAA Scholarships
Every year the association spends out $1 billion in both full and partial scholarship to more than 126,000 UG athelts. Although the funding is administered by academic institution, students have to fulfil all the criteria of the association. Some of the requirements are the minimum GPA for both the college-bound and those already on campuses, and qualifying standardized test scores.
The association offers scholarship for both men and women golf aspirants under D1 and D2 segment. For men, 4.5 scholarship is permitted and 3.6 scholarships for each D2 men’s program. Similarly, for women, NCAA sponsors 235 D1 and 128 D2 Women’s golf program. D1 women’s golf teams are limited to 6 scholarships and D2 teams to 5.4.
NJCCA Scholarships
The National Junior College Athletic Associations (NJCAA) awards full and partial scholarships to athletes. The association has tie up with the different community college to offer scholarship to interested students.
NAIA Scholarships
National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) offers scholarship for both Division 1 and Division 2 level. The association has a few scholarships in its kit, but the requirement is also quite less. Students applying for golf scholarship should have an ACT score of 18 and have minimum 2.0 GPA or should be graduated from high school. The funding can vary. The funding covers the cost of tuition, fees, book expenses, and other sports participation expenses.
LGPA Scholarship Foundation
The foundation offers several scholarships for young women who want to get into golfing career. Some of them are:
-The Dinah Shore Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded for high school senior girls playing golf and cannot play in college. The total funding offered is $5,000.
-The Marilynn Smith Scholarship: The scholarship is awarded to high school students wanting to play golf in college level. There are total twenty $5,000 scholarships offered every year.
-The Phyllis G. Meekins Scholarship: This need based funding is awarded to school, seniors belonging to a recognized minority background. Total funding offered is approx $1250 every year.
-The Goldie Bateson Scholarship: This funding is an initiative of LGPA Teaching and Club Professionals (T&CP) and awards scholarship to junior golfers between the age of 7 and 17. Approx 10 scholarships of $250 is offered every year.
United Sports Association
Also known as USA, the scholarship offers the opportunity the amateur player to save money on education by representing the college team associated with the association. Every year the association offers limited to 12 male and 20 female students who will also closely work with Jamie Alexander, former student of Savannah College of Art and Design to find the right university or college.
