Eligibility

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject offered by Wageningen University & Research
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • Hold an MSc degree in Biology, Plant Sciences, Plant Biotechnology, or a related field with a specialization in insect-plant or pathogen-plant interactions
  • Demonstrate experience in bioassays with plants and insects/pathogens, as well as molecular techniques such as RNA/DNA extraction and (q)PCR
  • Possess knowledge on plant defenses and effector biology
  • Motivated to expand transcriptomics and proteomics data analysis skills
  • Exhibit enthusiasm to work on the genomics of insects, plants, and their microbiome
  • Willingness to supervise undergraduate students
  • Pro-active team player with a commitment to obtaining a PhD
  • Good oral and written communication skills, with fluency in English.
