Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: All countries are eligible.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for a PhD position in any subject offered by the Plant Ecology and Nature Conservation Group, with a focus on marine biodiversity and sand nourishment.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Hold an MSc in ecology, (conservation) biology, nature conservation, or a related field.
  • Have experience with ecological field studies, particularly involving marine benthos and food webs.
  • Show affinity with, and ideally experience in, the analysis of large datasets.
  • Be enthusiastic about collaborating with stakeholders and scientists from various disciplines.
  • Possess good organizational and communication skills.
  • Command of the English language at C1 level; fluency in Dutch or willingness to learn is a plus.
  • Experience in collaborating with partners from diverse backgrounds and knowledge about coastal geomorphology are additional advantages.
