The Oncode Accelerator Project, a collaboration involving more than 30 public and private partners, aims to accelerate the discovery and development of novel cancer therapies to address unmet medical needs. This specific position focuses on leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) methodologies within the Oncode Accelerator Artificial Intelligence Platform to expedite the identification and development of anti-cancer drugs. Eligibility

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
    • Hold a MSc degree in Computer Science, AI, (Computational) Chemistry, Biopharmaceutical Sciences, or a relevant related field
    • Demonstrate good knowledge and experience with AI techniques and Computational Chemistry
    • Exhibit motivation for foundational research and application of developed methods to real-world problems
    • Possess strong academic writing and programming skills, preferably in C++ and/or Python
    • Proficiency in English (oral and written).

Benefits

The selected candidate will receive a full-time appointment initially for one year, with the possibility of extension up to four years, in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities. The salary ranges from €2,770 to €3,539 gross per month based on a full-time position (pay scale P). Additionally, Leiden University offers an attractive benefits package including holiday bonuses, training, and career development opportunities. Candidates from outside the Netherlands may be eligible for substantial tax breaks.
