Eligibility            

  • Eligible Countries: Domestic and international students are eligible to apply for this program.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Postgraduate Research program in the area of computational condensed matter and materials physics.
  • Have either a conditional or unconditional offer of admission for full-time studies in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) within the Faculty of Science at the University of Sydney
  • Be willing to undertake research in theory and computation of new materials for improved renewable and low energy technologies
  • Have a background in physics, chemistry or materials science/engineering, including condensed matter (solid state) physics
  • Hold at least an Honours degree (First Class or Second Class Upper) or equivalent, or Masters degree in a related field with a substantial research component or equivalent.

  • Birth certificate of the child,
  • Adoption documents, or

  • Admission Requirements: Candidates should have an unconditional offer of admission for a full-time PhD or masters by research program with the intent to transfer to a PhD after satisfactory completion of the first progress review interview.
  • Language Requirement:  All students whose first language is not English must also meet the University’s English language requirements.
