Eligibility
- Eligible Countries: Domestic and international students are eligible to apply for this program.
- Acceptable Course or Subjects: Postgraduate Research program in the area of computational condensed matter and materials physics.
- Have either a conditional or unconditional offer of admission for full-time studies in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) within the Faculty of Science at the University of Sydney
- Be willing to undertake research in theory and computation of new materials for improved renewable and low energy technologies
- Have a background in physics, chemistry or materials science/engineering, including condensed matter (solid state) physics
- Hold at least an Honours degree (First Class or Second Class Upper) or equivalent, or Masters degree in a related field with a substantial research component or equivalent.

- How to Apply: To be considered for this application, candidates need to take part in a postgraduate research program at the University of Sydney. After that, they must complete the application form for this funding opportunity.
- Supporting Documents: As part of the application, the applicants should include at least one of the following documents:
- Letter from medical professional related to pregnancy,
- A surrogacy agreement,
- Birth certificate of the child,
- Adoption documents, or
- Documentation that substantiates the application.
- Admission Requirements: Candidates should have an unconditional offer of admission for a full-time PhD or masters by research program with the intent to transfer to a PhD after satisfactory completion of the first progress review interview.
- Language Requirement: All students whose first language is not English must also meet the University’s English language requirements.
