The International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) is a non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C., that works to empower women journalists worldwide. The IWMF was established in 1990 by a group of prominent U.S. women journalists in response to the lack of representation of women in the media and the challenges faced by women journalists working in conflict zones.

Why choose this program? The organization provides training, grants, and other resources to support women journalists in their work and to ensure that their voices are heard in the media. The IWMF also advocates for gender equality in the media and works to raise awareness of the importance of women’s perspectives in shaping public discourse.
