Eligibility: Funding only is available to degree-seeking students at the University of Pennsylvania. Current Penn freshmen, sophomores, juniors and graduate students NOT graduating in May or August of summer 2018 are eligible to apply.
Note: If you are an exchange student, a senior or graduate student graduating in May, or a non-degree-seeking student, you are not eligible for I3 funding.
Internship Open for International Students: Penn’s International Internship Program is open to degree-seeking students at the University of Pennsylvania.
Is this paid internship? GIP placements are unpaid. However, when applying for placements, students will have the option to be considered for several scholarships to help offset the cost of this unpaid internship. We have over 100 scholarships available, and these scholarships can be applied to your airfare, housing, food, transportation, visa fees, etc.

Looking for a unique summer experience outside of Philadelphia? Want to gain global exposure and an understanding of different cultures? Hoping to stand out when applying for jobs after graduation? Then the Global Internship Program (GIP) is for you!
A number of awards offered: Over 100 scholarships are available to help offset your internship-related expenses.
Internship Duration: All students in the GIP must spend 8-12 weeks of their summer abroad in their placement.
Notification: Decision Date will be announced by the First week of March, 2018.
