Internships at the National Aviary
At the National Aviary students can intern in several different departments including Animal Programs, Marketing, Horticulture, and more. Interns will work under the direct supervision of the National Aviary’s Education Trainers to produce multiple free-flight bird shows. This internship focuses on the training of a collection of approximately 70 birds. The application deadline for the fall 2015 internship is December 15th, 2015 and for Winter/Spring 2016 is May 11, 2016.
IMMS Animal Care Internships
The IMMS Animal Care Internship Program is designed as a way for students/individuals interested in a career in animal care and training to gain valuable experience in a real-world setting. Interns will primarily be trained in aspects of animal care, but will also participate in other activities at IMMS. Interns must be able to commit to a minimum of at least 12 weeks, 40 hours a week.
