  • Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue undergraduate programme.
  • Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded within the Leicester Law School.
  • Scholarship Award: Leicester Law School is offering a tuition fee reduction of 10% to all Canadian and Malaysian undergraduate students commencing studies at the School in 2018. This will be deducted from each year of academic study.
  • Nationality: Canadian and Malaysian students are eligible
  • Number of Scholarships: 10 scholarships are available for Canadian undergraduate students and 3 scholarships are available for Malaysian undergraduate students.

Eligibility for the Scholarship: 

Eligible Countries: Canadian and Malaysian students are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Entrance Requirements: To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet the following requirements:

University of Leicester Canadian Excellence Scholarship:

  • Candidates must have submitted an application for one of the undergraduate law degree programmes (including Senior Status LLB Law) and received an offer before submitting an application for a scholarship (if an application form is required. See website for details).
  • Candidates must be classified by the University as international/overseas students for fee purposes.
  • Candidates must have Canadian nationality or residency to be eligible for Canadian Excellence Scholarship.
  • Candidates must not be in receipt of any other undergraduate scholarship for International Students. If successful with two or more scholarships, only the scholarship of the larger value will apply.
  • The scholarships are awarded in the form of a reduction in the tuition fees payable.
  • Where a scholarship is awarded to a candidate who is also eligible for a fee discount, the discount will be calculated after the scholarship reduction to the tuition fees payable has been made.
  • Scholarships are only available for students studying on a full-time basis who are commencing their course in September 2017
  • Where a scholarship is awarded to a candidate and the candidate then does not take up their place in September 2017, it cannot be rolled over to subsequent years.

University of Leicester Malaysian Excellence Scholarship:

  • Candidates must have submitted an application for one of the undergraduate law degree programmes (including the LLB JD Pathway) and received an offer before submitting an application for a scholarship (if an application form is required. See website for details).
  • Candidates must be classified by the University as international/overseas students for fee purposes.
  • Candidates must have Malaysian nationality or residency to be eligible for Malaysian Excellence Scholarship.
  • Candidates must not be in receipt of any other undergraduate scholarship for International Students. If successful with two or more scholarships, only the scholarship of the larger value will apply.
