The Natural Language Processing Laboratory, CIC-IPN is established in 1996 by professor Alexander Gelbukh. It is an elite research center and the leading center in Computer Science.

Candidates are suggested to follow the eligibility criteria-

  • Participants of any nationality are eligible for this opportunity.
  • The educational award is open for pursuing Masters and Ph.D. level courses in all topics of natural language processing (NLP), computational linguistics, human language technologies, and related topics.
  • For this grant, an applicant must ready to publish scientific papers in top journals and be ready to acquire writing and publication culture. Registering in ISI JCR-indexed is necessary for being a graduate in Ph.D.

How to Apply

  • How to apply: Participants are advised to take admission in one of the degree courses and contact the employer for the submission details of your documents.
  • Supporting Documents: A complete CV, copy of passport name page, score sheet, self-motivation letter, and a research proposal must be submitted by the students.
  • Admission Requirements: An undergraduate degree is required for masters and a masters degree is required for Ph.D.
  • Language Requirement: Applicants need to show their English language proficiency by TOEFL test and must be ready for learning Spanish for the master’s program.


The education award will cover 600 USD for masters and 800 USD per month for a Ph.D. program which includes living and other expenses.
