Ph.D Programme – Masters Degree in the respective/related subject recognized by the University with an OGPA of 7.5/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks at Masters Degree level. For SC/ST candidates the OGPA shall be 7.0/10 or equivalent.
M.V.Sc Programme – Bachelors degree in Veterinary and Animal Sciences recognized by the University with an OGPA of 6.0/10 or equivalent OGPA/ equivalent percentage of 50% marks in traditional system. For SC/ST candidates the OGPA shall be 5.5/10 or equivalent

Description: The Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University was established in 2010 with the main objective of imparting education in different branches of study in Veterinary and Animal Sciences and other allied subjects. Postgraduate programmes (PG) will be offered in the faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences during the year 2011.
A fixed number of candidates admitted for Master’s and Ph.D. degree programmes are eligible for Assistantship. The Assistantship for Master’s programme is at the rate of Rs. 10,000/-per month and for Ph.D. at the rate of Rs. 20,000/-per month. The eligibility of Assistantship shall be decided based on the rank list prepared for admission.
All the students admitted for Master’s and Ph.D. programmes are eligible to get a aid amount of Rs. 3000/-and Rs. 5000/- per month, respectively. Candidates who are awarded any other fellowship/support will not be eligible for the above benefits. The candidates on deputation are also not eligible for these benefits. The M.V.Sc candidates who secure Assistantship shall assist in the conduct of undergraduate practicals and the Ph.D. candidates shall attend teaching/ lab work/ research work of the Department as determined by the Head of the Department in consultation with the Dean.
