The Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design (PolyU Design) is inviting applications for scholarships from graduates of QS Top Design Schools (2016/17). Twenty scholarships, each worth up to HK$23,760, (equivalent to approx. US$3,065) are available for international applicants joining the PolyU Master of Design in September 2016. Each scholarship will off-set 10% or 15% (holder of a First Class bachelor’s degree) of tuition, regardless of which MDes programmes students are admitted to. The application deadline is 31 January 2016.

Eligibility: To be eligible for consideration for PolyU MDes’ Scholarships for Graduates of QS Top Design Schools (2016/17), you must:
-Meet the entrance requirement for admission to the PolyU Master of Design programme.
-Submit a complete PolyU Master of Design application.
-Provide your academic transcript and graduation diploma awarded from an institution on QS world’s top 50 universities for art & design.
-Attend the admissions interview in person or via skype.
-If you are successful, you will undertake specified duties as an MDes Ambassador, including providing assistance in related learning and teaching activities assigned by Specialism Leaders, representing the programme on recruitment events, providing testimonial on different media outlets, wherever appropriate.

Scholarship Description: Twenty scholarships, each worth up to HK$23,760, (equivalent to approx. PolyU reserves the right to change or withdraw the scholarship at any time. In case of any dispute/ disagreement, PolyU’s decision is final.
Number of award(s): A maximum of 20 scholarships will be awarded.
Duration of award(s): Scholarships are offered for the duration of 12 to 16 months.
What does it cover? Each scholarship will off-set 10% or 15% (holder of a First Class bachelor’s degree) of tuition, regardless of which MDes programmes students are admitted to. Eligible candidates are graduates of QS world’s top 50 universities for art & design. Programme tuition fee (36 credits) is HK$158,400 (equivalent to approx. US$20,439).
Selection Criteria: PolyU MDes Scholarships for Graduates of QS Top Design Schools (2016/17) are awarded on the basis of academic merit.
Notification: Students will be informed by email, normally two to four weeks after the interview.
