The National Film School (as it was first named) opened in 1971, the culmination of a major effort by the industry and government to create an institution to educate and train talent for the British film industry.

Learning Outcomes
Each week, our contributors will use examples from their own work, as well as the animated films that have influenced and inspired them, to enable the applicants to explore different forms of animation:
1 – Introducing animation.
2 – Stop motion or stop frame animation.

4 – CGI or computer animation.
5 – Pixilation and other big-scale animation forms.

This course doesn’t require any existing, specialist animation skills or equipment. Although there will be opportunities to try out animation techniques using everyday tools and free application, if you want to enhance your learning experience.
