Nohoudh Trust for development Studies funded PhD  research scholarships for the study of ‘The integration of Muslims in British Society’. Scholarships have been established at SOAS University of London in UK . Students must be British Citizens, born and raised in the UK . Eligibility:-Applicants with an offer of admission for a full-time research degrees in 2013/14 on a relevant topic are eligible to apply for the award.
They must:
-be classified as UK/EU for fee purposes
-be British Citizens, born and raised in the UK -be Muslims and demonstrate in their application an intimate knowledge and substantial experience of interacting with Muslims communities in the UK
-be holders of at least a 2.1 honours undergraduate degree and possess a masters degree with merit or distinction

Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: The students of British Citizens, born and raised in the UK can apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship Description: The aim is to support PhD research by British graduates, who can demonstrate intimate knowledge and substantial experience of interacting with UK Muslim communities, to use their intellectual skills for the benefit of sound scholarship on the subject, the future development of these communities and understanding within the wider society.
-Candidates will be assessed on academic merit, intimate knowledge and substantial experience of interacting with UK Muslim communities by a Selection Panel consisting of three academic members.
-The assessment of your application will be based on the information in your application.
-Selectors will be looking at the degree results and also at academic references, statement and other relevant information.
-Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview at SOAS.
-The interviews are expected to be held between the 13 May and 31 May 2013 (date to be confirmed on this page).

Number of awards offered: Up to 10 Scholarships are offered. Three Nohoudh Scholarships will be available for PhD students applying for entry in autumn 2013.

What does it cover? Each scholarship is value at a total value of £20,480 per annum for a maximum of three years. The scholarships can be used for fees and the remainder towards maintenance.
