Eligibility:Any medical student who is a NSW/ACT resident (rural or urban) is eligible to apply. This includes NSW/ACT residents studying medicine in another Australian state/territory.
-Applications for the 2012 intake are made in 2011.
-Applicants studying at a NSW/ACT university must be enrolled in.
-2nd year medicine at the University of Sydney, University of Wollongong, Australian National University or Notre Dame -3rd year medicine at the University of Newcastle, or University of Western Sydney

Scholarship Open for International Students: No

Scholarship Description: 12 Cadetships are on offer to students who are Australian or New Zealand citizens or a permanent resident of Australia, and who are enrolled in their 2nd year of medical degree (in the case of UOW applicants). The cadetship is a bonded scholarship that provides up to $15,000/year for the final 2 years of the medical degree and subsidies to attend RDN conferences. Cadets agree to spend 2 years after graduation at NSW Rural Base Hospitals.
