Whatever the definition, Planning is a role for the intellectually curious, lateral, out of the box thinkers and those with an enviable mix of left brain logic and right brain creative skills.
Subsequently, Planning could also be described as a role of contradictions as it’s completely imaginative and completely logical, totally subjective and totally objective, perfectly number-based and perfectly emotion-based. Planners are happy to talk to business people and creative people and they are driven by the desire to discover. The two main tasks of the Planner are to be the voice of the consumer and to become experts on the clients business.
