Ohio First STEM Scholarship at University of Akron, USA 2019

Applications are open for the Ohio First STEM Scholarship at the University of Akron, USA 2019. The grant is open to the applicants who are Intend to pursue a bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) field.

The goal of the Choose Ohio First program (COFSP) is to produce around 800 additional graduates in the science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medical (STEMM) fields at The University of Akron.

Eligibility:
-Intend to pursue a bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) field Biological sciences Physical sciences, including physics, chemistry, astronomy and materials sciences Mathematical sciences Computer and information sciences Geosciences Engineering Technology areas associated with the preceding fields (example: biotechnology, chemical technology, engineering technology, information technology, etc.) Teacher education/preparation in one of the above fields
-A U.S. citizen or permanent resident
-A resident of Ohio
-Must maintain a full-time student enrolled status
-Continued progress towards achieving a degree in a STEM field of study
-Maintain good academic standing

Scholarship Open for International Students: No

Description: This is a renewable financial aid with maximum eligibility of four years (eight semesters), or until completion of a baccalaureate degree, whichever comes first. Policy Manual Anyone interested in teaching a STEMM discipline also qualifies. ALL STEMM Scholars receive a scholarship of up to $5,500 per academic year.
