Liverpool Hope University is awarding performance scholarships for Sport, Music, Drama and the Performing Arts. Scholarship Description: Liverpool Hope UniversityLiverpool Hope University is pleased to announce the continuation of Performance Scholarship scheme in 2014/15 for Sport, Music, Drama and the Performing Arts. Each scholarship will be worth a maximum of £1,000 and will be awarded to full time home fee paying undergraduates who can demonstrate an exceptional level of excellence in Sport, Music, Drama or the Performing Arts.

Duration of award(s): Scholars will receive their award in two payments in February and July from the Student Loans Company and the award is for one year only in the first instance. After the first year the scholar will need to reapply by the appropriate closing date and application will be in the form of an annual report giving details of their achievements and examples of how they have acted as ambassadors, role models and promoters of the University in the past year.

Selection Criteria: Scholarship will be awarded to full time home fee paying undergraduates who can demonstrate an exceptional level of excellence in Sport, Music, Drama or the Performing Arts.

Notification: The committee will meet to consider all applications in November. The committee’s decision will be final and letters will be sent to applicants after the panel meeting to either confirm the award or to explain why the application has been declined. As these are discretionary awards, appeals will be limited and would only be allowed on the grounds of procedural error in the awarding of the Performance scholarship. No appeals will be allowed against the value of the award.

How to Apply: To apply for this scholarship you must complete in full the Performance Scholarship application form ensuring that all the sections have been completed. You should include a personal statement of not more than 1,000 words explaining why you should be awarded this scholarship and a supporting statement from a suitably qualified person – for example a coach/teacher or a governing body. Appropriate supporting documentary evidence demonstrating the level of achievement reached must be provided to support any applications as these awards are limited and discretionary.
