Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: Applicants from all countries are eligible to apply.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Transport Engineering, or closely related disciplines offered by the university.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Hold a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Transport Engineering, or a closely related field.

  • Demonstrated interest and/or experience in one or more of the following areas:

    • Optimization (e.g., integer programming, vehicle routing, packing problems, heuristics)

    • Simulation and data-driven modelling

    • Decision support systems

    • Artificial Intelligence (machine learning, reinforcement learning, hybrid AI)

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a large multi-partner consortium involving academia, industry, and public stakeholders.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written). Knowledge of Dutch is an advantage but not required.

  • Preferably, prior exposure to transport and logistics planning, multimodal networks, construction logistics, or applied decision support systems.

  • Gross monthly salary ranging from €3,059 (Year 1) to €3,881 (Year 4) (full-time).
