Eligibility:
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to conduct fundamental scientific research, who has:
-M.Sc. or equivalent
-Good understanding of fish physiology, developmental biology and early life history of fishes as well as  interest in aquaculture production
-Experience with experimental biology
-Competence in histology, molecular biology, statistics, fish reproduction and larval biology is  considered advantageous.
Ability to carry out goal-oriented work, ability to deliver, oral and written presentation of research results, and good co-operation abilities will be emphasized.

Scholarship Description: A PhD Scholarship in early life history of European eel with focus on embryology and larval functional development in culture is available at the National Institute of Aquatic Resources (DTU Aqua) and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in cooperation under the Nordic Five Tech (N5T) alliance. The position is related to the international research project “Reproduction of European eel – Towards a Self-sustained Aquaculture” (PRO-EEL), supported by the European Commission’s through the 7th Framework Programme.
