Eligibility: -The application for the PhD programs is addressed to the applicants that obtained (or will obtain by the 31/12/2011) the Master of Science degree (MSc) and have a certificate attesting the knowledge of the English language (i.e. IELTS with score 5.0; TOEFL internet based test with score 77; Cambridge PET pass with merit; o other equivalent or higher certificate ).
-Candidates who have obtained their degree abroad or are going to obtain it by December 31, 2011 – and it has not been declared equivalent to an Italian university degree yet he/she should ask the Committee if the document entitle him to take part to the public competition.
-The recognition of educational qualifications obtained abroad (only for admission to the PhD Program) is decided by a University Board, in compliance with international agreements.

Scholarship Description: The abilities of the candidate are assessed through the evaluation of the curriculum, science and the proposal of a research project. Each candidate must submit a research proposal for a scientific project based on a group of research lines related to the chosen PhD Program, identifiable in the search page as “Research”. Applicants holding a scholarship paid from their home university, Government or national and international public institutions and admitted to a Doctoral Program without a scholarship, can be accepted for supernumerary positions, within the limit of positions available for each Doctoral Program. Non-EU citizens, selected within the framework of national and international agreements activated by the Politecnico di Torino, can be admitted to the PhD Program for supernumerary positions, without a scholarship and within the limit of positions available for each Doctoral program
