The PhD Program in Banking and Finance offered at the University of Limoges, France, aims at training a selected group of students for a career as economists in academic institutions or in research departments of international organizations, financial institutions and governments.

The PhD Program in Banking and Finance is fully taught in English. Applicants must provide satisfactory evidence that they have an adequate knowledge and understanding of written and spoken English.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing PhD program.

Study Subject:  Research will be conducted on Financial Intermediation, Bank Risk and Regulatory implications (Basel III, Bank Supervision, Market Discipline, Capital Structure, Bank Governance and Risk, Financial Stability, Systemic Risk, Liquidity Risk…) with strong econometric and/or theoretical background. Other areas in Banking and Finance are also welcome. Co-tutorship with other institutions is encouraged.

Scholarship Award: The University of Limoges provides financial support for a limited number of students with outstanding records. The selected candidate(s) will be recruited for a period of 3 years.

Eligibility: To be eligible, applicant must meet the admission criteria of PhD Programme in the University.

Nationality: Applicants from France can apply for this PhD scholarship.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement:  If applicants are applying for a PhD program, they are required to be in possession of a relevant master’s degree diploma.
