  • Candidates should hold or expect to gain a first class or a good 2.1 in a relevant subject area.

Nationality: UK/EU (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom) and International students are eligible to apply.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Candidates should hold or expect to gain a first class or a good 2.1 in a relevant subject area.

Test Requirement: No

English Language Requirements: Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to demonstrate proficiency in the English language (IELTS 6.5 or equivalent).

How to Apply: Consideration is automatic on applying for a Doctorate of Philosophy in Earth and Ocean Sciences (October 2017). In the research proposal section of your application, please specify the project title and supervisors of this project and copy the project description in the text box provided. In the funding section, please select “I will be applying for a scholarship / grant” and specify that you are applying for advertised funding from the ERC Project ‘MICA’.
