( votes)The Partnership for Observation of the Global Oceans, POGO, is a forum created in 1999 by directors and leaders of major oceanographic institutions around the world to promote global oceanography.

Study Subject: Position is awarded in the area of marine physics, marine chemistry, and marine ecology. The research will be conducted within the activities of the Institute of Oceanology Polish Academy of Sciences, Sopot.
Scholarship Award: This is a 3 to 6-month grant and it must be completed by the end of June 2018. We offer European level salaries. In the appointment process, special attention will be given to research skills. The assessment of research skills will focus primarily on merits within the subject area of the position. A general assessment criterion is the ability to work with other people, as well as other general abilities required to perform one’s duties.

Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have their previous degree.
English Language Requirements: Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.
How to Apply: Candidates, maximum of 5 years after earning PhD, are invited to send their applications by email, including a statement of research activities, a cover letter, a CV, as well as name and address of two referees who could provide a recommendation. Proficiency in English and good writing skills are a prerequisite. A candidate should have a documented running collaboration or/and a project planned with a scientist/scientists from the Institute of Oceanology Polish Academy of Sciences.
