Description |
: We are seeking applicants with a strong background in experimental neuroscience and stem cell biology to fill a postdoctoral position funded by the Maryland State Stem Cell Fund. Research is focussed on developing human embryonic stem cell therapy for treatment of multiple sclerosis in mouse EAE models. Central is the use of MR imaging and bioluminescent imaging to follow the biodynamics of cell migration and cell survival and to non-invasively image changes in myelin content. JHU has excellent molecular and cellular imaging capabilities as well as a first-rate stem cell program. Candidate should ideally be a fresh PhD or postdoc with less than 2 years of experience. Expertise with neurosurgery, histology, and stem cell cultures a must. Imaging experience is not required but candidate is expected to master this shortly after arrival. |
