Ajou University offers multiple research positions (MS and PhD) for highly motivated South Korea students starting in Fall 2016. Positions are available in Power System Laboratory at the Dept. of Energy Systems Research.

( votes)Ajou University is a leading research university with 10 colleges in Korea. Located in Suwon, about 30km south of Seoul, Ajou has 14,000 students (9,000 undergraduate, 3,500 graduate, and 1,500 in other courses).
The candidate should have a very good command of the English language.
Course Level: Position is available for pursuing research programme.
Study Subject: The successful candidates will conduct scientific research, perform experiments, present at conferences, and publish in journals in the following areas:
-Coordinated control of renewable energy system
-Coordinated control of energy storage system
-The impact study of high-penetration of renewable generation on power transmission and distribution circuits
-Development of a microgrid design optimization tool
-Renewable energy generation forecasting
-Smartgrid
-Power system IT
Scholarship Award: The positions will be financially supported (full tuition with English Proficiency Test and salary), which will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Eligibility: Required qualifications:
-BS with high standing or MS degree in electrical, computer engineering, and related field
-Excellent communication skills
-Power system knowledge, preferred
-Computer programming skills, preferred
