Professional BusinessWomen of California (PBWC) Scholarships 2008

The Professional BusinessWomen of California (PBWC) is pleased to announce that our 19th Annual Conference, entitled “Across the Generations”, will take place on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at the San Francisco Moscone Convention Center. The PBWC conference provides a forum for advancing the professional and personal development of Bay Area women through tools, resources, training and true inspiration. It is the largest women’s conference of its kind in the area, with last year’s attendees totaling over 5,000 women. Additionally, high school students attending as part of PBWC Young Women’s Program interact with successful female leaders and are challenged to achieve their own future career goals.

As part of the conference, PBWC will award three $5,000 academic scholarships to California female High School Seniors. Additional awards will be given if funding permits. The applications are posted on our PBWC website at www.pbwc.org/programs .

I am finishing my phD on Women Studies, the title of my thesis is “Women and Dandyism”. I have focused my research on the last century 20´s. I am from Spain but have just returned from Oakland where I have been a teacher in a Charter School.
Now I am looking for a scholarship to continue my research on women issues, particularly on female performances from the bay area during the last decades of the XX century.
    Where should I look for?
    I am a little lost.
    Thanks for reading
