Ronald Lu Travelling Scholarships in Architecture in Australia, 2015

Applications are invited for travelling scholarships worth of $4,500 available for a period of one year. Scholarships will be awarded to students enrolled full-time in either the Bachelor of Architectural Studies or the Master of Architecture intending to undertake a study tour to Asia prior to the end of the 2014/5 Summer Vacation period. The application deadline is 30th November 2014.

Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled full-time in the Faculty of the Built Environment at UNSW in either: – the first year of the Master of Architecture, or -the third year of the Bachelor of Architectural Studies. To be eligible for the scholarship undergraduate applicants must be planning to enroll in the Master of Architecture in 2014.

Scholarship Description: The Ronald Lu Travelling Scholarship in Architecture is available for students enrolled full-time in either the Bachelor of Architectural Studies or the Master of Architecture intending to undertake a study tour to Asia prior to the end of the 2014/5 Summer Vacation period.

Number of award(s): Up to 2 travelling scholarships will be awarded.

Duration of award(s): Scholarships will be awarded for a period of one year.

What does it cover? The value of scholarship is $4,500.

Selection Criteria: Applicants will be assessed on the basis of: -academic merit; -details of the proposed study tour and how the applicant plans to experience the architecture of Asia; and -how the applicant expects to benefit from the experience gained.

Online Application: The mode of applying is onlineScholarship holders may be asked to submit a written report to UNSW outlining the experience gained and benefits enjoyed while in receipt of the Scholarship. Recipients are also requested to share with their fellow students what they have learnt from the experience at a final year undergraduate class.
