Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: Non-Canadian students can apply.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for a Graduate degree program in any subject offered by the university
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Applicants can be Non-Canadian-PR-PP.
  • Selection is based on the greatest commitment to helping disadvantaged populations through past activities and community engagement, as well as through future commitment, as indicated by the summary of the statement of academic intent. Special consideration will be given to applicants who have worked in their home countries to improve the lives of local families, especially of women and children.
  • Applicants must have applied for admission through the Ontario University Application Centre (OUAC) by February 1 to enter a graduate program in the fall or winter semester following the application deadline.
  • Apply to the CSAHS Awards Committee by May 15 with a letter outlining experience in helping disadvantaged populations and include a one-page summary of the admission “Statement of Academic Intent.” Notes can be sent by email to [email protected].
  • International students (defined as paying the International tuition fee) entering any full-time program offered by the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences or the Ontario Agricultural College who have experience helping disadvantaged populations. Preference is given to Master’s students.

  • Supporting Documents: The students must submit official academic transcripts, CV, copies of a valid passport, reference letters, and other supplementary documentation.
  • Admission Requirements: Students must meet International Admission Requirements for Graduate degree Programs to study at the university.
  • Language Requirement: Applicants must meet English Proficiency Requirements for the Graduate degree program at the University of Guelph.

Benefits

The University of Guelph will provide one award of $5,000 in the fall, and the recipient must be registered to receive it. In the winter and the recipient must be reported to receive.
