The Kuwait-MIT Center for Natural Resources and the Environment (CNRE) is offering visiting fellowship for scientists and scholars from Kuwait at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the USA. The fellowship duration is for 12 months. Each Fellow receives a $32,000 stipend covering living and travel expenses. Applicant must have an appointment at an institution other than MIT. Scholarship Description: The Kuwait-MIT Center for Natural Resources and the Environment (CNRE) invites applications for Scholarly Exchange Fellowships in energy, water, natural resources management and economics, sustainable development and urban planning, and environment research. The fellowships are intended to foster collaborative research by providing scientists and scholars from Kuwait, with demonstrated track record in the aforementioned research areas, an opportunity to visit with their counterparts at MIT and engage in related cutting-edge on-campus research activities. Fellows will be appointed as Visiting Scientists at MIT.

What does it cover? Each Fellow receives a $32,000 stipend covering living and travel expenses. Shorter visits beyond 3 months to initiate collaborative research that continues afterwards may be considered; stipend prorated accordingly.
