Brief Scholarship Description: Since the Channel-System has developed into one of  the most successful programs, the Egyptian and the German side agree that the doctorate research pursued within the special channel-arrangements should serve both the professional career of the individual candidate and the development of the Egyptian universities and society.  Upon identification of the appropriate German and Egyptian supervisor (professor at any Egyptian or German university), both sides work out a detailed plan of research for the candidate’s dissertation. For this purpose, the German professor may visit his Egyptian counterpart and the candidate at their home university.

Brief Scholarship Description: The Iraqi-German scholarship programme will be run annually. It is aimed at candidates for Master’s and Doctoral studies. While the program is open to all academic subjects, applications in medicine are limited to non-clinical studies (e.g. public health). The scholarship covers living costs and study costs, including German language courses. As scholarships are supported by Iraqi and German funding, the applicants must go through Iraqi and German phases in the application process.
