If you’re a junior golfer, or the parent of one, you’ll want to take a look at the college scholarship funds available through the Southern Texas PGA Foundation. Each year the STPGA doles out thousands of dollars – $263,000 total, to 118 students, since 1999. A total of $21,500 is available this year.
Available scholarships are described below. Deadline for applications is April 2, 2008, and winners are announced on May 16. To get your application, visit the “Junior Golf and Scholarships” on the STPGA Web site (you can also visit STPGA offices at 21604 Cypresswood Dr., Spring, 77373). Requirements for application (GPA, residency, etc.) are also described on the STPGA page.
