The Hills Shire Council Scholarships for Undergraduate at UWS in Australia 2019

The University of Western Sydney with Hills Shire Council funded Scholarships for Undergraduate Students in Australia. The scholarship is open to the applicants who must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia.

Successful applicants will be selected based on their written application, academic potential, their ability to meet the criteria and, where appropriate, and performance in an interview before a selection panel. They have an opportunity to win $7,500 for one year.

Eligibility for the Scholarship:

To be eligible, the applicants must be following all the given criteria:

  • Eligible Countries: Scholarships are available to students from Australia.
  • Entrance Requirements: Applicants must:
    • be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia
    • Receive an offer to study or be currently enrolled in their first year of an undergraduate degree at the Hawkesbury Campus.
    • currently, reside in or have resided in the Hills local government area during the time in which their HSC was undertaken
    • have completed the HSC within two years prior to commencing at the University

Application Procedure:

  • Applicants must provide a statement in support of their application indicating how they believe the receipt of the scholarship will assist them with their studies and in their future career.
  • This statement should include examples of community service and/or council engagement, as well as give a sufficient explanation of the applicant’s background and current circumstances to enable the University to judge their eligibility, need and merit.
