The Simpson Grierson Law Scholarship New Zealand

Applications close on Monday 1 September 2008

The Simpson Grierson Law Scholarship is available to New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand who, in 2009, will be enrolled full-time for their penultimate year of study for the degree of Bachelor of Laws or Bachelor of Laws with Honours at the University of Canterbury (in either a single or double degree programme).
The information requested is used for the express purpose of considering your suitability for the Simpson Grierson Law Scholarship, and also for employment with Simpson Grierson as a summer clerk from mid November 2009 to mid February 2010.
Under the Privacy Act 1993 you have a right to access and correct your personal information. If your application is unsuccessful, Simpson Grierson will keep your personal information for up to six months after your last contact with them. This is so they can continue to consider you for other positions as they become available. Please advise Simpson Grierson if you want them to remove your personal information from their files immediately.

    I am hereby applying to study Law at any University anywhere in your country. I am from Namibia in Africa and work as Maintenance Officer for Child and Spouse Support at the Ministry of Justice. My work is the same as Public Prosecutor but I am not a Lawyer or Legal Practitioner nor do I possess a a Degree qualification in Law. But I have a First Bachelor Degree in Humanities and Social Sciences majored in Sociology, Information and Communications Studies and Political Studies. Now that I am working in the Legal environment, I am looking forward to earn a Legal qualification. I need your assistance in this regard.
