Xposure Timothy Allen Photography Scholarship Award (TAPSA) for International Applicants in UAE, 2017

Xposure is happy to announce the second edition of this Photography Scholarship Award,  for all registered users that are interested in Travel and Documentary Photography.

The five winners will receive a ten-day travel package to Sharjah, UAE including a five-day location Workshop with Timothy Allen, commencing on Friday 16th November 2017. Winners will also receive entry to Xposure Festival and all Auditorium and Seminar sessions during the 2017 festival days 22 – 25 November 2017.

Timothy Allen is a seven-times travel photographer of the year award winner. Timothy was the photographer for the BBC TV series Human Planet that alone has won a host of awards including two BAFTAs and an Emmy Award as well as the ITB’s Cultural Book Prize. This is an amazing opportunity to learn from this top class pro.

The Scholarship Award Basics
To apply: Register online from 20 June 2017. Each entrant should enter a portfolio of between 5 and10 images that represent their best work from within the last 3 years.  This portfolio can comprise one or more stories or just a selection of single images.   Entries will be judged individually and as a portfolio.

Entries will be judged individually and as a portfolio.  Timothy will be looking for those photographers showing the most ingenuity and originality as well as photographic excellence in both image making and storytelling”and submit your travel photography completed within the last three years, related to one or more of the above categories, together with a short description about where, when and how the photograph was shot.

The closing date for entries is September 1.
Credits will be applied on the basis of originality, composition and technical quality. An additional bonus point will be awarded for each additional category of submission.

Images should be submitted in JPG format and have at least 2700px along the widest side with a minimum file size of 2Mb and max of 8Mb.
