The University of New England is inviting applications for undergraduate financial aid for Australian citizen or permanent resident. The value of scholarship is $6,000 per annum. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit as indicated by the applicant’s performance in the NSW HSC, or equivalent. The recipient will commence full-time, on-campus studies at the University of New England in an undergraduate course in the year following application and reside in one of the UNE residences for at least the first year. Eligibility: To apply, you must:
-be completing Year 12 and gap year/s students who are commencing university study for the first time in the year following application and who will be aged 21 or under at the start of the academic teaching year, and students who have already been admitted to UNE under the gifted and talented arrangements with the NSW Board of Studies.
-have applied for admission to an undergraduate course at the University of New England and be an Australian citizen or permanent resident as defined by the Commonwealth refer.
-have an ATAR of at least 86.30 (or equivalent).
-have a residential address must be either regional or remote as defined by the Government Remoteness Tool.
-applied to live in a UNE Residential College for at least the first year.

Description: The University of New England has established undergraduate financial aid to support country students who have a record of academic achievement, and have been involved in leadership positions in school and the community. Some opportunities are funded by donations or grants from individuals or organisations and may include specific criteria beyond the usual University requirements.

Duration of award(s): The studentships are offered for duration of the course. The grant is payable directly into the recipient’s bank account in two installments within a month of the Trimester One and Two census dates.
