University of Auckland Jubilee Awards in New Zealand, 2015

University of Auckland is awarding undergraduate jubilee awards for students currently studying in Year 13 at a New Zealand secondary school and intending to enroll in a full-time degree programme at the University of Auckland. To take up the offer of the Award, awardees must achieve admission to the University of Auckland with a grade point equivalence of at least 3.00. Up to 135 Awards will be made annually, each for a period of up to three years and of the value of up to $2,000 per annum. The initial basis of selection will be academic ability, motivation to succeed at University and financial need. The application deadline is 3rd September 2014.

Scholarship Description: The University of AucklandThe Awards were established in 2007 and are funded by the University of Auckland. The main purpose of the Awards is to assist school leavers who have the potential to succeed at University and for whom the financial assistance would make a significant contribution to their financial needs.

Number of award(s): Up to 135 Awards will be made annually.

Duration of award(s): Awards are available for the period of up to three years of full-time study.

What does it cover? Up to 135 Awards will be made annually, each for a period of up to three years and of the value of up to $2,000 per annum.

Selection Criteria: The initial basis of selection will be academic ability, motivation to succeed at University and financial need. Applicants’ levels of preparedness for university study will also be assessed by considering their performance to date in subjects relevant to their intended degree. The decile ranking of the applicant’s school and eligibility for a StudyLink Student Allowance may also be taken into account during the selection process.

Notification: Applicants will be notified on 25 October 2014.
