Applications are invited for a number of University of Edinburgh Postgraduate Bursaries during the 2015-2016 academic session. A student applied for postgraduate admission at the University of Edinburgh and has been offered places at the University of Edinburgh for the 2015-2016 academic session are eligible. Each bursary will have a value of £1,000 (for full-time students) and £500 (for part-time students) and will be deducted from student’s tuition fees. The application deadline is 17 July 2015.

( votes)Eligibility: Applicants must be a Scotland domiciled or a non-UK EU student studying on an eligible postgraduate programme. Applicants also should already have:
-applied for postgraduate admission at the University of Edinburgh
-been offered a place at the University of Edinburgh for the 2015-2016 academic session, or in the case of students applying for a place on the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice only, received an acknowledgement of their application from the Edinburgh Centre for Professional Legal Studies
-firmly accepted that offer or be intending to do so
-applied or intending to apply to SAAS for a “Postgraduate Tuition Fee Loan” (and must be in receipt of this loan once on programme).
Scholarship Open for International Students: 
Scotland domiciled or a non-UK/EU student studying on an eligible postgraduate programme are eligible to apply for this bursary.

Selection Criteria: Bursaries are awarded on the basis of significant financial need, but the University will also take account of other personal or family circumstances which might make it difficult for you to take up a place. Academic merit is not considered since it is assumed that those who receive an offer of a place have fully demonstrated their ability and potential to benefit from postgraduate study
