  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Open to any subject offered by the university for one-year full-time taught Masters, MRes, or Masters by Research programs
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • These awards are only available for international fee payers (including EU applicants) wishing to study a one-year full-time taught Masters, MRes or Masters by Research. Applicants must hold a First Degree at undergraduate level equivalent to a UK First Class Honours degree, and should be considered to be the ‘best of the best’ (e.g. successful applicants are likely to be in the top 5% of their BSc/BA cohort).

  • How to Apply: In order to apply for this funding programme, students must take admission in a Masters, MRes, or Masters by Research programs at the university. After being enrolled, they will complete an online application form.
  • Supporting Documents: Submit all required supporting documents for the study application by the scholarship deadline.
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants must meet the entry requirements for postgraduate research study at the University of Leeds.
  • Language Requirement: The University of Leeds minimum English language entry requirement is an IELTS of 6.0 overall with at least 5.5 in each component, or equivalent. Applicants must meet the higher requirement if the School/Faculty has one.

Benefits

The University of Leeds will cover the following study expenses:

  • If the University fee rate for the program is less than £26,000, the scholarship covers full academic fees.
  • If the University fee rate is more than £26,000, recipients receive £26,000 as a contribution toward academic fees, and they are responsible for the remaining fees. Applicants are expected to cover their own maintenance costs. No additional allowances for travel or research costs.
