Scholarship Description: Dr. Chia Chen Ciang from the Dept. of Aerospace Engineering, University Putra Malaysia (UPM) is establishing a laboratory and building a dynamic research team to address the Malaysia’s Research Flagship Program. Several projects are secured for the development and characterization of novel bio-composite materials, as well as the characterization of electro-static discharge and lightning damages in aeronautics or aerospace structures. Other prospective projects are related to nondestructive test and evaluation (NDT&E), and structural health monitoring (SHM). Financial support scheme is established for two master or PhD students.
