Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: Open to all nationalities
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for postdoctoral research in African Anthropology program.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Applicants must have a PhD degree in Social or Cultural Anthropology in the field of African Studies, or a foreign degree equivalent to a PhD in the same field.
  • The degree must be based on ethnographic research carried out in one or several African countries.
  • The application deadline requires the PhD degree to be obtained by that time, and applicants who obtained the degree three years prior to the deadline are given priority.
  • The assessment will focus on the candidate’s ability to conduct independent anthropological research based on ethnographic fieldwork in African countries and the scientific significance of their work.
