Urbanism Studies Scholarships for International Students in Sweden, 2017

KTH Royal Institute of Technology offers a number of scholarships for students intending to start their master full-time academic programme in January 2017.

This one-year Master’s programme is aimed at graduates from the fields of architecture, landscape architecture, urban design and city planning who are specifically concerned with design issues of the public realm and the effects these have on social life and human behaviour.

KTH Royal Institute of Technology is a university in Stockholm, Sweden. KTH was founded in 1827 as Sweden’s first polytechnic and is one of Scandinavia’s largest institutions of higher education in technology.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate proficiency in English by means of an internationally recognized test, e. g. TOEFL, IELTS or the equivalent.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing master’s programme.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the field of Urbanism Studies.

Scholarship Award: These scholarships cover the KTH tuition fees, not living costs.

Eligibility: To be considered eligible for the programme you must fulfil both the general and specific admission requirements. The general admission requirements are the same for all programmes at KTH while the programme specific requirements vary between the programmes. When applying, all documents described on this page must be provided.

Nationality: International students can apply for these scholarships.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: A completed Bachelor’s degree, corresponding to a Swedish Bachelor’s degree (180 ECTS credits), or equivalent academic qualifications from an internationally recognised university.

English Language Requirement:

TOEFL
Paper-based test: total result of 575 (written test, minimum grade 4.5)
Internet-based test: total result of 90 (written test, minimum grade 20)
English test results from TOEFL should be sent directly from the ETS test centre to University Admissions in Sweden (institution code: “Sweden 3477”). Examinee score reports, photocopies, TOEIC or institutional TOEFL are not accepted as sufficient proof of English proficiency. www.toefl.org

IELTS: A minimum overall mark of 6.5, with no section lower than 5.5 (only Academic Training accepted). The original test report should be uploaded to your application at University Admissions in Sweden. The result will be verified online.

How to Apply: The application deadline for most programmes is 16 January 2017 and applications are made through University Admissions in Sweden, the online application system for programmes offered at Swedish universities.
