Fee-waiver scholarships for PhD study – University of Huddersfield

Successful applicants will be expected to provide up to 80 hours research/teaching assistance a year for the 100% scholarship and up to 40 hours for the 50% and overseas scholarships. Applicants must be able to fund their own living costs.

Applicants should be of outstanding academic ability, with at least an upper second class degree and usually a Masters-level qualification, and a commitment to develop high quality and original research.

The School performed very well in RAE 2008. Twenty per cent of the research in Music was recognised as world-leading, and across the School more than 75 per cent of the research was ranked as internationally recognised, internationally excellent or world-leading.

Each subject already has a substantial postgraduate community, and successful applicants will be able to participate in a full range of research activities including seminars, research training and conferences.
