Eligibility

  • An applicant for the Fellowship must fulfil the following criteria :
  • Be a permanent resident of Hong Kong.
  • Has received at least 7 years of continuous full-time education in Hong Kong.
  • Be responsible for fulfilling all application procedures and admission requirements at the institution of his / her choice and be offered a place subsequently.
  • Holds a good Honours degree obtained in Hong Kong or equivalent qualification OR expects to obtain such a degree or equivalent qualification before 1.9.2013.
  • Has a good mastery of the language in which his / her studies will be undertaken.
  • An applicant for the Scholarship must fulfil the following criteria :
  • Be a permanent resident of Hong Kong.
  • Bas received at least 5 years of continuous full-time education in Hong Kong.
  • Be responsible for fulfilling all application procedures and admission requirements at the institution of his / her choice and be offered a place subsequently.
  • Has a good mastery of the language in which his / her studies will be undertaken.

Scholarship Open for International Students: No

The Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fund (SEYMF) Council is offering an award of Fellowship / Scholarship to finance one outstanding disabled student in Hong Kong for overseas studies commencing in the 2013/14 academic year.

What it covers: Maximum Value of Award per year for Fellowship is HK$283,000 and for Scholarship is HK$262,000

How to Apply

  • How to Apply: Applications can be submitted by anyone of the following methods:-
  • Completing the application form with legible handwriting in blue/black ink and sending it to the SEYMF Council
  • Secretariat at Room 1217, 12/F, Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices, 303 Cheung Sha Wan Road, Kowloon by post or in person.
  • Inputting data in the PDF proforma downloadable from SFAA’s website and sending the duly signed hardcopy of the completed PDF proforma to the SEYMF Council Secretariat by post or in person. Signature in the
    form of a digital image is not acceptable.
  • Inputting data in the PDF proforma downloadable from SFAA’s website and submitting the completed proforma in electronic format to the SEYMF Council Secretariat via email (address: [email protected]) with digital signature supported by E-Cert (Personal) registered under the name of the applicant and issued by a recognized
  • Certification Authority in Hong Kong, e.g. Hongkong Post. Applications submitted by electronic means not supported by E-Cert will not be considered.
  • Deadline for applications submitted by post or email is 28 September 2012(Hong Kong Time) while that for submission in person is at 5:45 p.m. on 28 September 2012. Late applications will normally not be considered.
