2011 ASEA-UNINET Thailand On-Place Scholarships, Thailand

Scholarship for nationals of Cambodia and Lao PDR  for the ASEA-UNINET Programme Thailand On-Place Scholarships for academic year 2011 in the field of Sciences, Engineering, and Economics.

Scholarship Description:The Commission on Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Thailand, in cooperation with the ASEA-UNINET Austria invites nationals of Cambodia and Lao PDR to apply for the ASEA-UNINET Programme Thailand On-Place Scholarships for academic year 2011. Seven scholarships will be granted to students and faculty members of higher education institutions in Cambodia and Lao PDR or general public from the two countries to further their Master’s degrees study in Thailand for two years in international study programmes in the fields of sciences, engineering, and economics offered by Thai higher education institutions which are members of the ASEA-UNINET. Tuition fees for the Scholarship students will be paid by the Thai higher education institutions and their living allowances and accommodations will be paid by the Austrian Government.
The most successful Master’s degree graduates of the ASEA-UNINET Programme Thailand On-Place Scholarships will be entitled to apply for the Austrian Technology Grants Scholarship to pursue their studies at Ph.D. level in Austria. The age limit of applicants for Ph.D. studies in Austria is 30 years on the date of application.

Eligibilty

Eligible applicants must satisfy the following criteria:
– Be nationals of Cambodia or Lao PDR
-Hold a Bachelor degree in a relevant field
-Proficiency in English
-Maximum age: 27 years (calculated up to October 1st, 2011)
-Be of good health physically and mentally

Scholarship Application Deadline: The applications and all required documents (both the original and electronic types) must be received no later than 7 January 2011. Late submissions of applications or incomplete application form/documents will not be considered.
