Eligibility:Applications are invited from candidates who hold a PhD in Food Safety (Molecular) Microbiology, along with a number of years of experience in classical and (molecular) microbiology methods, ideally related to Salmonella, including a detailed knowledge of molecular sub-typing approaches; transcriptomics; proteomics and bioinformatics. Relevant scientific publications and practical experience of food processing would also be beneficial.

Scholarship Description: As part of its programme to provide postdoctoral research opportunities for scholars of proven academic excellence, University College Dublin invites applications for the prestigious Dawn Farm Foods Newman Fellowship in Food Safety. The Fellowship is established with the generous support of Dawn Farm Foods.The successful applicant will be based in the UCD School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Population Science.

Duration of Award:. The Dawn Farm Foods Newman Fellowship is tenable for two years. The successful applicant will be based in the UCD School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Population Science.
